About Us

Robert bought his first hereford cows from Elton Erickson in 1994. Starting in the 90s, Robert used the farm name R&R Family Farms. In 2019, sons RJ and James returned to the operation and together, Robert, RJ, and James renamed, and rebranded the cattle operation to Cardinal Creek Cattle Co, where we currently run 100 pairs, and sell herd bull prospects private treaty and females in their fall online sale. The Cardinal comes from Robert's fond memory of his grandmother's love for the cardinal bird. 

 At Cardinal Creek Cattle we produce a moderate framed, functional, maternal cow herd, raising stout calves that will perform with balanced EPD’s and eye appeal. 

All involved with the cattle operation are Robert and Rochelle, RJ and Laura, James and Jessica. We also get help from other family members when needed. Talia and Andy, Autumn and Austin, Brady and Abby. Along with family we typically have one or two high school or college students helping with all aspects of our operation.
